The test can be used as early as 5 days before your period is due and detects the HCG pregnancy hormone with an early detection option. The test result shows 2 lines for a positive pregnancy, 1 line for a negative result and no line if the test was used incorrectly. For best results, you should do the test up to 6 days before your period stops and use morning urine. After 3 minutes you can read the result. Important instructions are to drink little fluid before the test, not to hold the test tip upwards and to read the result within 10 minutes.
