Cetirizine beta is an anti-allergy medicine used to relieve nasal and eye symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and to relieve hives. The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age and 5 mg twice daily for children between 6 and 12 years of age. Patients with kidney weakness should adjust the dose accordingly. The medicine should be taken with a glass of liquid. Side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, headache and tiredness may occur. The film-coated tablets contain the active substance cetirizine dihydrochloride and other ingredients such as lactose and cellulose.
