Benzaknen 10% Gel is an acne medication for application to the skin. It is used for all forms of severe acne and acne diseases for which the application of a lower concentrated benzoyl peroxide preparation does not lead to therapeutic success. The gel is used in adolescents from 12 years of age and adults. It is recommended to start treatment with a lower-dose benzoyl peroxide preparation and to switch to Benzaknen 10% gel if the treatment is not successful. The usual dose is 1-2 times daily and the gel is applied thinly to the diseased areas of skin. An improvement in acne should be seen after 4-12 weeks. Benzaknen 10% Gel contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide and other excipients. It may cause local irritation at the site of application.
