Amorolfin acis® nail polish is a medicine for the local treatment of fungal diseases of the nails, provided the nail root is not affected.It is suitable for superficial white nail fungus, nail fungus below the nail, as well as for infections of less than 50% of the nail surface and less than three nails.The active ingredient amorolfine fights a variety of fungi that can cause nail fungal infections.It penetrates into and under the nail plate, inhibits the growth of fungi and kills them.This fights the fungal infection and improves the appearance of the nails.

Amorolfin acis® nail polish is waterproof, so showering and bathing are possible without restrictions.When applied, the nail polish penetrates into and through the nail plate and destroys even hard-to-reach fungi in the nail bed.After a drying time of 10 minutes, a cosmetic nail polish can be applied.The pack contains spatula holders, plastic spatulas, disposable files and alcohol wipes.

Area of application

Amorolfin acis® nail polish is used to treat fungal nail infections of toenails and fingernails.It is suitable for use by adults aged 18 and over.

Mode of action

The active ingredient amorolfine in Amorolfin acis® nail polish is an antifungal that kills a variety of fungi that can cause infections.The nail polish is used to treat nail fungus, which is caused by dermatophytes and yeasts and occurs when the nail is affected by up to 50.

Amorolfin acis® nail polish contains the active ingredient amorolfine.1 ml of medicated nail polish contains 55.74 mg amorolfine hydrochloride, which corresponds to 50 mg amorolfine.The other ingredients are ethanol, ethyl acetate, ammonium methacrylate copolymer (type A) (Ph.Eur.) ((EA:MMA:TMAEMA =1:2:0.2; average relative molecular weight approx. 150,000)), butyl acetate and triacetin.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.It is not suitable for people under 18 years of age.

Dosage

Apply the nail polish to the affected fingernails or toenails once a week.Continue treatment until the diseased nails grow out healthy.This typically takes 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails, depending on the level of infestation.

Before the first use, the affected parts of the nail surfaces should be filed down as much as possible.For further applications, the nails can be filed as needed.To clean the nail surface, use one of the included alcohol swabs to remove any remaining polish.

Apply the nail polish using one of the included reusable spatulas.A spatula holder makes application easier.Remove the nail polish with the spatula and apply it evenly over the entire surface of the diseased nail.Close the bottle tightly after each use to prevent the solution from drying out.Allow treated nails to dry for 10 minutes.

After applying the nail polish, a cosmetic nail polish can be applied once Amorolfin acis® nail polish has dried.Before reapplying the nail polish, the cosmetic nail polish should be carefully removed.The use of nail polish remover should be avoided in between.

Intake

Amorolfin acis® nail polish is intended for use on the nails.Please note the following instructions when using:

1. Before the first use, be sure to file off the affected parts of the nail surfaces as much as possible.For all further applications, re-file as necessary.Disposable files are included in the pack.

2. Use one of the included alcohol swabs to clean the nail surface.This will remove any paint residue.

3. Apply the nail polish using one of the included reusable spatulas.A spatula holder makes application easier.

4. Remove the nail polish with the spatula and apply it evenly over the entire surface of the diseased nail.

5. Close the bottle tightly after each use to prevent the solution from drying out.

6. To reuse, clean the spatula with the alcohol swab after use.

After applying the nail polish, a cosmetic nail polish can be applied once it dries.Before reapplying the nail polish, the cosmetic nail polish should be carefully removed.The use of nail polish remover should be avoided in between.

Patient information

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine. Nail files that are used for diseased nails should not be used for healthy nails.Nail polish should not be applied to the skin around the affected nail.

There is still no experience with inflammatory changes in the area around the nails, diabetes, circulatory disorders, malnutrition or alcohol abuse.There is also no experience in infants, children and adolescents, therefore use in patients under 18 years of age is not recommended.

This product is flammable and should be kept away from fire and flames.Avoid all contact with eyes, ears and mucous membranes.The use of artificial nails should be avoided during treatment.

Patients working with organic solvents must wear impermeable gloves to protect the layer of nail polish on the fingernails.All medicines can cause allergic reactions.If you develop any of the following symptoms, you need urgent medical attention: difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, severe skin rash.

The medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

There is limited experience with the use of this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding.It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly necessary.

No prescription is required for this product.Do not take!Do not bring it into your eyes!Flammable!Keep away from fire and flames!Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
