Amorolfine acis nail polish is a medicine that is used for the local treatment of fungal diseases of the nails.It is particularly effective for superficial white nail fungus, nail fungus below the nail and when less than 50% of the nail surface is affected and less than three affected nails.The active ingredient, amorolfine, is a broad-spectrum antifungal that kills a variety of fungi that cause fungal nail infections.The nail polish penetrates the nail plate and nail bed, inhibits the growth of the fungi and kills them.This fights the fungal infection and improves the appearance of the nails.

No prescription is required for this product.The nail polish is waterproof, so showering and bathing are possible without restrictions.After application and a drying time of 10 minutes, a cosmetic nail polish can be applied.The pack contains spatula holders, plastic spatulas, disposable files and alcohol wipes.

Amorolfin acis nail polish contains the active ingredient amorolfine.1 ml of the nail polish contains 55.74 mg of amorolfine hydrochloride, which corresponds to 50 mg of amorolfine.The other ingredients are ethanol, ethyl acetate, ammonium methacrylate copolymer (type A) (Ph.Eur.) ((EA:MMA:TMAEMA =1:2:0.2; average relative molecular weight approx. 150,000)), butyl acetate and triacetin.

Contraindications

Amorolfine acis nail polish should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.The product is not suitable for people under 18 years of age.

Dosage

Amorolfin acis nail polish should be applied to the affected fingernails or toenails once a week.Treatment should be continued until the diseased nails grow back healthy.This typically takes 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails, depending on the level of infestation.

Before the first use, the affected parts of the nail surfaces should be filed down as much as possible.For further applications, the nails can be filed as needed.Disposable files are included in the pack.An alcohol swab should be used to clean the nail surface to remove any remaining polish.

The nail polish should be applied using one of the included reusable spatulas.A spatula holder makes application easier.The spatula should be re-immersed with the perforated surface for each nail to be treated, without scraping it off the neck of the bottle.The nail polish should be applied evenly to the entire area of the diseased nail.

The vial should be tightly closed after each use to prevent the solution from drying out.The treated nails should dry for 10 minutes.The spatula should be cleaned with an alcohol wipe after use.After applying the nail polish and allowing it to dry for 10 minutes, a cosmetic nail polish can be applied.Before reapplying the Amorolfin acis nail polish, the cosmetic nail polish should be carefully removed.

Application

Notes

Amorolfine acis nail polish is flammable and should be stored away from fire and flames.The product should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package.Nail polish should not be applied to the skin around the affected nail.Nail files used for diseased nails should not be used for healthy nails.

Patients working with organic solvents should wear impermeable gloves to protect the nail polish layer.If allergic reactions occur, you should stop using the nail polish immediately and seek medical advice.

Pregnancy

There is only limited experience with the use of Amorolfine acis nail polish during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The product should not be used during this period unless clearly necessary.
