Directions for use of Levoceti-AbZ 5 mg Film-coated tablets for allergies: Levoceti-AbZ 5 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain the active substance levocetirizine dihydrochloride and are used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever, year-round allergies such as house dust or pet allergies and chronic hives. Certain factors should be considered before taking Levoceti-AbZ. The medicine must not be taken if there is an allergy to levocetirizine dihydrochloride, cetirizine, hydroxyzine or other components of the medicine. The medicine should also not be taken if there is severe restriction of kidney function. Special precautions and advice from the doctor should be followed if there is impaired kidney function, problems with bladder emptying, epilepsy or a risk of convulsions. If an allergy test is planned, the attending physician should be consulted in advance to clarify whether the intake of Levoceti-AbZ should be temporarily discontinued. Levoceti-AbZ should not be used in children under 6 years of age as no dosage can be adjusted. The use of Levoceti-AbZ together with other medicines and simultaneous use with alcohol or other substances that affect the brain require caution. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking Levoceti-AbZ. The medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness and dry mouth. Therefore, care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. Side effects may occur during use, including dry mouth, headache, fatigue and drowsiness. Hypersensitivity reactions may cause swelling, difficulty breathing, hives or a severe drop in blood pressure. The dosage for adults and children 6 years and older is 1 film-coated tablet daily. Special dosage adjustments may be necessary in renal and hepatic disorders and in elderly patients. The tablets should be taken unchewed with water. In the event of an overdose, a doctor should be contacted immediately and appropriate action taken. Levoceti-AbZ should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.
