Mode of action

The active ingredient ciclopirox penetrates the nail and fights the fungi. MICLAST Nail polish is transparent and not water-soluble.The active ingredient remains on the nail even after showering or bathing and continues to work there.After applying the varnish, the solvent evaporates and the concentration of the active ingredient increases to 34.8%.This enables reliable penetration with a sustained effect, so that there is still sufficient active ingredient in the nail for up to 2 weeks after the end of treatment.

One gram of the active nail polish contains 80 mg (80 mg/g) ciclopirox.The other ingredients are ethyl acetate, 2-propanol (Ph. Eur.) and poly (butyl hydrogen maleate-co-methoxyethylene) (1: 1).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

The polish should be applied to the entire fungal nail once a day, preferably in the evening.The nail should be cleaned once a week with commercially available nail polish remover to ensure optimal penetration of the active ingredient.During the treatment, no other nail polishes or cosmetic varnishes may be applied to the treated nails.

Intake

The nail polish is intended to be applied to the nails and for external use only.The storage instructions must be followed after each use.

Patient information

The medicine may only be applied locally.It should be avoided from coming into contact with eyes or mucous membranes until it dries.In the event of an allergic reaction, treatment should be stopped immediately, the nail polish carefully removed with a suitable solvent and a doctor should be contacted.If several nails need to be treated or if you suffer from diabetes mellitus or an immune system disorder, please consult your doctor.You may also need oral treatment.

The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Ciclopirox may be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Notes

MICLAST Nail polish must not be used if you are allergic to ciclopirox.Contact with eyes or mucous membranes should be avoided.The product must be kept out of the reach of children and must not be used after the expiry date.The contents of the packaging should be protected from sunlight.After first opening the bottle has a shelf life of 3 months.
