Desloratadine TAD® - My allergy under control

Desloratadine TAD® is a modern, fast-acting medicine with a long-lasting effect in relieving allergic symptoms such as hay fever (allergic rhinitis) and hives (urticaria).The active ingredient desloratadine can reduce typical allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose and itchy eyes.As a modern antihistamine, it causes little or no sleepiness.

Quickly effective

Desloratadine TAD® relieves allergic symptoms within the first 30 minutes after pollen contact.It causes less fatigue and sleepiness than first-generation antihistamines such as loratadine.It also has a better effect than loratadine.

Long lasting

Desloratadine TAD® has a long-lasting effect, so only one tablet per day is required.It is also suitable for relieving severely itchy skin rashes in chronic hives.

Well tolerated

Desloratadine TAD® is well tolerated and suitable for children aged 12 and over.

Desloratadine TAD® 5 mg film-coated tablets contains the active ingredient desloratadine.Each film-coated tablet contains 5 mg desloratadine.The other ingredients in the tablet core are microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment, sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment, corn starch, lactose monohydrate and talc.The other ingredients in the tablet film are hypromellose, macrogol, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide and indigo carmine.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.

Dosage

The recommended dosage of Desloratadine TAD® 5 mg film-coated tablets is one tablet taken once daily, with or without food, with water.Please note the package leaflet.

Intake

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, with water, with or without food.This medicine is to be taken orally.The tablet should be swallowed whole, i.e. without chewing.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking this medicine if you have impaired kidney function or if you have a medical history or a family history of seizures.Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age.

If you take the recommended dosage, this medicine is not expected to affect your ability to drive or use machines.Although most people do not experience drowsiness, it is recommended that you avoid activities that require mental alertness, such as driving or operating machinery, until your personal response to the medicine has been established.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Taking desloratadine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.Data on male fertility/female fertility are not available.
