Area of application

Laxbene® junior 4 g Neutral is used for the symptomatic treatment of constipation in children between 6 months and 8 years.It increases the water content in the stool, making bowel movements easier.The medicine should be used in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet.The duration of treatment in children should not exceed 3 months.

The active ingredient in Laxbene® junior 4 g Neutral is Macrogol 4000. Each sachet contains 4 g of this active ingredient.The medicine is free of other ingredients.

Contraindications

Laxbene® junior 4 g Neutral must not be taken if there is an allergy to macrogol (polyethylene glycol, PEG) or one of the other ingredients.Its use is also contraindicated for intestinal diseases, especially colon diseases such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease, as well as for abdominal pain of unknown origin, a hole or tear in the gastrointestinal tract or an intestinal obstruction.

Dosage

The dosage of Laxbene® junior 4 g Neutral depends on the age of the child.For children between 6 months and 1 year, 1 sachet per day is recommended.Children between 1 and 4 years old can take 1 to 2 sachets per day, while children between 4 and 8 years old can take 2 to 4 sachets per day.The daily dose should be adjusted to the success of the treatment.The effect occurs within 24 to 48 hours after ingestion.

Intake

The contents of one sachet should be dissolved in at least 50 ml of water immediately before taking.The resulting solution is almost transparent and should then be drunk.With a dosage of 1 sachet per day, it should be taken in the morning.Higher dosages can be divided into a morning and evening dose.After each dose, it is also recommended to drink 125 ml of liquid.

The treatment of constipation with Laxbene® junior 4 g Neutral should support a healthy lifestyle and diet.Before use, a doctor should be consulted to rule out an organic cause of constipation.After 3 months of treatment, the doctor should assess the child's physical condition.The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
