Laxbene® junior 500 mg/ml solution has been specially developed for the treatment of constipation in children between 6 months and 8 years.It is an osmotically active laxative that increases the water content in the stool, making bowel movements easier.This product is available without a prescription.

The solution is ideal for children as it is salt-free and tasteless.It is practical to use as it does not need to be dissolved or cooled.The exact dosage is carried out using a draw-on syringe, which is included in the outer box.

Area of application

Active ingredients and ingredients

Laxbene® junior 500 mg/ml solution contains the following active ingredients and excipients:

Active ingredient: 500 mg Macrogol 4000 per 1 ml solution.

Excipients: sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid, sodium citrate-2-water, sucralose, purified water.

Contraindications

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to macrogol (polyethylene glycol, PEG) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.The medicine must also not be used for intestinal diseases, especially colon diseases such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease, for abdominal pain of unknown origin, for a hole or tear in the gastrointestinal tract or for an intestinal obstruction.

Dosage

The recommended dose is:

6 Months to 1 year: 8 ml per day.

1 Year to 4 years: 8 ml to 16 ml per day.

4 Years to 8 years: 16 ml to 32 ml per day.

With a dosage of 8 ml per day, the treatment should be carried out in the morning; higher dosages are divided into a morning and evening dose.The daily dose should be adjusted to the success of the treatment.The effect occurs within 24 to 48 hours after ingestion.

In children, the duration of treatment should not exceed 3 months, as there are no clinical data on treatments lasting longer than 3 months.The dose should be reduced gradually.If constipation occurs again, treatment should be resumed.

Intake

The solution is intended for oral use.It is recommended to dose the solution using the dosing aid included in the outer box.After treatment, improved intestinal activity can be maintained through a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet.
