The medicinal product contains 250 mg of Saccharomyces cerevisiae HANSEN CBS 5926, corresponding to at least 2x10x10 viable cells.Other ingredients include hypromellose, lactose, magnesium stearate (vegetable), titanium dioxide, purified water and 0.01 BE total carbohydrates.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to yeast or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.It should also not be taken by immunocompromised or hospitalized patients or by patients with central venous catheters.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.For acute diarrhea, the recommended dosage for children between 6 months and 2 years as well as for children from 2 years of age, adolescents and adults is 1 hard capsule 1 to 2 times daily.To prevent traveler's diarrhea, adolescents aged 12 and over and adults should take 1 hard capsule 1 to 2 times daily starting 5 days before departure.

Treatment of acute diarrheal illnesses usually takes 4 to 7 days.To prevent traveler's diarrhea, treatment should be carried out over the entire duration of the trip.

Intake

Take the hard capsules whole with enough liquid before meals.For children under 6 years of age, you can open the hard capsule and stir the contents into food or liquid.If you have diarrhea caused by tube feeding, only add the contents of the capsules to the nutrient solution.

If you have diarrhea that lasts longer than 2 days or is accompanied by blood or an increase in temperature, you should consult a doctor.In the case of diarrhea, care must be taken to replace fluids and salts, especially in children.If microbiological stool tests are carried out, you should report taking the drug to the testing laboratory.
