Desloratadine HEUMANN 5mg contains desloratadine, which is an antihistamine.It is an anti-allergic medicine that does not make you sleepy.It helps control your allergic reaction and its symptoms.

The preparation improves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as those that occur with hay fever or house dust mite allergy, in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.These symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy roof of the mouth, and itchy, red, or watery eyes.

Desloratadine is also used to improve the symptoms of urticaria, a skin condition caused by allergy.These symptoms include itching and hives.Improvement in these symptoms lasts a full day and helps you resume your normal daily activities and regain your sleep.

5 mg desloratadine, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate (vegetable), mannitol, Opadry blue, hypromellose, hyprolose, titanium dioxide, indigo carmine, aluminum salt.

Contraindications

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to desloratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine or to loratadine.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

Use in adults and adolescents (12 years and older): The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily with water, with or without food.

Regarding the duration of treatment, your doctor will determine the type of allergic rhinitis you have and then decide how long you should take desloratadine.

If your allergic rhinitis is intermittent, your doctor will recommend a treatment regimen depending on the assessment of your previous course of the disease.If your allergic rhinitis is persistent, your doctor may recommend longer-term treatment.

For urticaria, the duration of treatment may vary from patient to patient.That's why you should follow your doctor's instructions.

Only take desloratadine as prescribed for you.No serious problems are expected in the event of an accidental overdose.If you take more desloratadine than you should, contact your doctor, pharmacist or nurse immediately.

If you forget to take your dose on time, take it as soon as possible and then go back to your normal treatment schedule.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.

Intake

Patient information
