Description

CICLOPIROX ADGC 80 mg/g is a nail polish containing active ingredients that is used to treat fungal nail infections.Its active ingredient, ciclopirox, has been tried and tested for many years and effectively combats fungal infections in the nail.Ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and reaches the pathogenic fungus within 48 hours of application.Ciclopirox belongs to the antifungal drug group and therefore has a fungal killing effect on all of the main causes of nail fungal diseases.

CICLOPIROX ADGC 80 mg/g is used to treat fungal nail infections (onychomycoses).No prescription is required for this product.

CICLOPIROX ADGC 80 mg/g of active nail polish contains the active ingredient ciclopirox.1 g CICLOPIROX ADGC 80 mg/g active nail polish contains 80 mg ciclopirox.The other ingredients are poly(butyl hydrogen maleate-co-methoxyethylene) (1:1), ethyl acetate and 2-propanol (Ph.Eur.).

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to one of the above ingredients, CICLOPIROX ADGC 80 mg/g nail polish containing the active ingredient should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of CICLOPIROX ADGC 80 mg/g active nail polish: Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.Unless otherwise prescribed, a thin layer of CICLOPIROX ADGC medicated nail polish should be applied to the affected nail once daily.

Before applying CICLOPIROX ADGC for the first time, you should remove as much of the affected parts of the nail as possible, e.g.B. with scissors, while heavily callused areas should be removed as much as possible with a commercially available disposable nail file.

During the period of use, you should remove the entire layer of paint once a week with an alcohol swab provided or available commercially.During this process, you should also remove heavily calloused material from the nail plate as much as possible using a disposable nail file.If the paint layer is damaged between two applications, it is sufficient if you simply apply enough CICLOPIROX ADGC to the chipped areas.

The duration of treatment depends on the extent of the infection, but should not exceed 6 months.

It is recommended that you carefully close the cap of the bottle after each use to prevent the solution from drying out.The solution must not come into contact with the screw thread of the bottle, otherwise the cap may stick.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.The use of topical drugs, especially over long periods of time, can lead to the development of sensitization phenomena or cause side effects.In these situations, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapeutic measures should be initiated.Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

You must not use nail polish or other cosmetic nail products during treatment with the medicine.Since there is insufficient clinical experience, the preparation must not be used in children.

The medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

The medicine must generally not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
