Endofalk Tropic is a white powder for oral solution with a laxative effect.It is used to cleanse the colon in preparation for a colonoscopy.No prescription is required for this product.

Endofalk Tropic contains the following active ingredients: potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate and macrogol 3350. The other ingredients are saccharin sodium, pineapple aroma, lemon aroma and highly dispersed silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

Endofalk Tropic must not be taken if you are allergic to any of the active ingredients or other ingredients.The preparation should also not be used in cases of intestinal obstruction, suspected intestinal obstruction, narrowing or perforations in the gastrointestinal area, emptying disorders of the stomach, severe, highly inflammatory form of colon inflammation with toxic megacolon, impaired swallowing and gag reflexes or general weakness.Patients with impaired consciousness or a tendency to swallow or inhale liquids should not take Endofalk Tropic.

Dosage

For complete colon cleansing you need to take 3 or a maximum of 4 liters of Endofalk Tropic solution.One bag corresponds to ½ liter of solution.Drink the solution in portions of 200-300 ml per 10 minutes until the discharge from the anus is clear.It is taken over a period of approximately 4 hours, generally on the day of the examination.You can also take the entire required amount the evening before or drink part the evening before and the remaining amount on the morning of the day of the examination.

Intake

Prepare the solution fresh before use.The contents of one sachet are dissolved in half a liter of lukewarm water.Prepare 3-4 liters of solution in this way.Since 1 bag is equal to ½ liter of solution, you will need 6 to 8 bags to make 3-4 liters of solution.After preparing the ready-to-use solution, you can place it in the refrigerator to cool down.The chilled solution is more pleasant to drink.

Patient information

Notes

No additives, especially sugar or flavorings, may be added to the drinking solution, as these can influence the effectiveness of the medication.No solid food should be eaten 2-3 hours before taking the medicine until after the examination.
