Antistax extra vein tablets contain a dry extract of red grape leaves as the active ingredient.These tablets are intended to treat symptoms of diseases of the leg veins (chronic venous insufficiency) in adults.These include pain and heaviness in the legs, varicose veins, nighttime leg cramps, itching and swollen legs (leg edema).

The ingredients of Antistax extra vein tablets come from the vine plant and act as a natural mixture.The main ingredients are condensed tannins (proanthocyanidins), flavonoids and fruit acids.Proanthocyanidins can intercept harmful radicals and have an antioxidant effect.They inhibit enzymes that make the capillary vessels brittle and thereby maintain the elasticity of the veins.The flavonoids it also contains have a supportive, anti-inflammatory effect.

1 Film-coated tablet contains 360 mg dry grape leaf extract (Vitis vinifera) (4-6:1) as the active ingredient.The extractant is water.

As other ingredients, the tablet contains highly disperse silicon dioxide, magnesium distearate, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), iron(III)oxide (E172), microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, croscarmellose sodium, calcium hydrogen phosphate, hypromellose and tristearate.

Dosage and instructions for use

Adults should take 1-2 tablets once a day in the morning, before the first meal.The tablets should be taken with liquid, such as a glass of water.The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease.Without medical advice, you should not use the medicine for longer than 6 weeks if there is no improvement after this time.The maximum treatment duration is 3 months.

Contraindications

Antistax extra vein tablets must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients.The medicine is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.The medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side effects

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea and skin hypersensitivity reactions such as itching and rash.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

The medicine must be stored away from heat and moisture, for example in a tightly closed container.
