Instructions for use for BABYLAX Enema, 3 pcs
What is Babylax and what is it used for?
Babylax is a laxative used for the symptomatic treatment of constipation and constipation in infants and children of all ages.It is particularly useful when dietary changes or dietary measures alone have no effect. After introduction into the rectum, the active ingredient glycerol 85% stimulates mucus production, increases the gliding properties of the stool and promotes water absorption in the intestines. This leads to softening of the stool and an increase in volume, which reflexively causes defecation.
Areas of application
Babylax is used for the symptomatic treatment of constipation and intestinal constipation in infants and children of all ages, especially when other measures such as dietary changes or diet alone are not sufficient.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
The active ingredient in Babylax is glycerol 85%.Each rectiole with 3.6g rectal solution contains 1.8g glycerol 85%.The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, macrogol 400, carbomer (viscosity 29400-39400 mPa s), sodium edetate (Ph. Eur.), sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment) and purified water.
Dosage and instructions for use
Babylax should always be used exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If necessary, the contents of 1/2-1 rectiole for infants, 1 rectiole for small children and 1-2 rectiole for school children are given into the rectum.Long-term use of laxatives is not recommended as this cannot eliminate the cause of constipation.
Before use, remove the cap, press the thorn into the tip of the neck of the rectiole and, if necessary, grease the neck of the rectiole slightly with a skin cream (e.g. Vaseline). Then insert the rectiol neck into the anus and empty the filling body by squeezing it vigorously. When pulling out the rectiole, leave the packing compressed so that the active ingredient cannot be sucked back in.After the packing has been squeezed out, a residue remains in the rectiole which can be discarded. This has been taken into account in the dosage instructions. If only half a rectiole is to be used, half of the rectal solution must be squeezed out and discarded beforehand.

Babylax must not be used if your child is allergic to glycerol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, or if your child has an intestinal obstruction.
