Areas of application

Loratadine ratiopharm 10 mg tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever, and for the treatment of chronic hives.The tablets help with symptoms such as sneezing, nasal discharge, itchy nose, itching and burning of the eyes as well as itching, redness and hives of the skin.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each tablet contains 10 mg of the active ingredient loratadine.The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Loratadine ratiopharm 10 mg tablets must not be taken if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The product is not recommended for infants and young children under 2 years of age as its effectiveness and safety have not been proven.It is not recommended to be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Dosage and application

Always take Loratadine ratiopharm 10 mg tablets exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.The usual dose for adults and children over 12 years of age and for children aged 2 to 12 years weighing over 30 kg is 1 tablet daily.Children 2 to 12 years old weighing 30 kg or less should take 1/2 tablet daily.Patients with severe liver impairment should take the tablets at a reduced dose as recommended by their doctor or pharmacist.

The tablet can be taken without regard to meals.Take the tablet with a glass of water.Take the medicine for as long as symptoms persist or as your doctor tells you.

If you have taken more than you should, please contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.Drowsiness, rapid heartbeat and headache have been reported in cases of overdose.If you forget to take a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible on the same day.Do not take a double dose if a full day has passed since your last dose.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Loratadine ratiopharm 10 mg tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Nervousness, headaches, tiredness and sleepiness can often occur.Insomnia and increased appetite may occasionally occur.Very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions, dizziness, convulsions, rapid heartbeat, palpitations, nausea, dry mouth, inflammation of the gastric mucosa, liver dysfunction, skin rash and hair loss may occur.The frequency of weight gain is not known.

Storage

Keep Loratadine ratiopharm 10 mg tablets out of the reach and reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister pack.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
