Instructions for use of Deacura 5 mg tablets

Deacura 5 mg tablets contain the active ingredient biotin and are a vitamin preparation.This product is available without a prescription.

Areas of application

Deacura 5 mg is used to prevent and treat biotin deficiency.For prevention, less than 0.2 mg of biotin daily is sufficient.It is also used to treat biotin deficiency in the very rare biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency.

Dosage and application

The usual dose is half to one tablet daily (corresponding to 2.5 to 5 mg of biotin).To treat multiple carboxylase deficiency, one to two tablets (corresponding to 5 to 10 mg of biotin) can be taken daily.The tablets are swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.The duration of use depends on the normalization of biotin levels and is determined by the doctor.If you take it for life, as in biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency, you should consult your doctor regularly.

Side effects

Very rarely, allergic skin reactions such as hives can occur.If side effects occur, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications

Deacura 5 mg must not be used if there is an intolerance to any of the ingredients.Pregnant and breastfeeding women should ask their doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking it.

Composition

Each tablet contains 5 mg of biotin as an active ingredient as well as the excipients microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, povidone K 30, crospovidone and magnesium stearate.

Storage

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package.After opening the container, the shelf life is 9 months.
