Instructions for use for FRAUENMANTELKRAUT Tea, 100 g
What is lady's mantle tea and what is it used for?
Lady's mantle tea is a herbal product that is used to relieve non-specific diarrheal diseases. The tea is prepared by brewing the herb and then drinking it.No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Lady's mantle herb tea is used for mild diarrhea. The ingredients of the herb have a calming effect on the gastrointestinal tract and can thus relieve the symptoms of diarrhea.
How to use lady's mantle herb tea?
To prepare the tea infusion, 2 teaspoons (approx. 2 g) of lady's mantle herb are poured over with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and after about 10 to 15 minutes, if necessary, passed through a tea strainer.Unless otherwise prescribed, one cup of the tea infusion is drunk 3 to 5 times a day.
Duration of application
If diarrhea lasts longer than 2 days or is accompanied by blood or an increase in temperature, you should consult a doctor.Without medical advice, the medicine should not be used for longer than 2 days if the symptoms have not improved after this time.
Side effects
There are currently no known side effects for lady's mantle herb tea. However, if you experience any discomfort or changes during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications
Lady's mantle herb tea should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to the ingredients.Infants and small children under 2 years of age should only use the medicine after consulting a doctor or under medical supervision. There is no sufficient information about its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. In these cases, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
Composition
Lady's mantle herb tea contains lady's mantle herb as an active ingredient. The plant contains tannins such as agrimonin and flavonoids, which are responsible for the calming effect on the gastrointestinal tract.
How should lady's mantle herb tea be stored?
Lady's mantle herb tea should be stored away from light and moisture.Ideally, it should be stored in a tightly closed container in the dark, for example in a cardboard box.
Mode of action
The ingredients of lady's mantle herb, especially the tannins and flavonoids, have a calming effect on the gastrointestinal tract. The tannins can form a protective layer on the mucous membrane that is less permeable to water and protects the body from excessive water loss. This protective layer also prevents bacteria and other germs from penetrating small injuries to the skin. This supports the effect against diarrhea.
Important notes
Caution is advised if you are allergic to phenol (e.g. pyrogallol, triclosan and vanillin).Pay attention to careful dosage, especially for infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
