Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Calcium Acetate Nefro 500 mg film-coated tablets is calcium acetate.Each film-coated tablet contains 500 mg calcium acetate, which corresponds to 126.7 mg elemental calcium.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 30, crospovidone type A, magnesium stearate (vegetable), sucrose, hypromellose, macrogol 6000 and talc.

Calcium acetate Nefro 500 mg film-coated tablets is used to lower phosphate levels in patients with chronic kidney failure who are receiving dialysis treatment.It binds the phosphate contained in food and thus reduces the absorption of phosphate into the body.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose for adults is initially 2 film-coated tablets three times a day, whole and with some liquid with meals.The dosage depends on the phosphate concentration in the blood and should be checked regularly.The usual dose is 3 to 4 film-coated tablets three times a day, although the maximum dose of 12 tablets per day should not be exceeded.The treating doctor decides on the dosage and duration of use.Children and adolescents under the age of 18 should not take the product as there are no data on its use.

Intake

The film-coated tablets should be taken whole with a little liquid, only with meals, so that the medicine can work as effectively as possible.

Storage
