Description of Klosterfrau Melissengeist

Klosterfrau Melissengeist is a traditional herbal medicinal product for internal and external use.It contains a unique combination of 13 medicinal plants, obtained through a special distillation process.The product is available without a prescription.

Areas of Application

Klosterfrau Melissengeist is traditionally used internally to improve general well-being in cases of nervous and cardiovascular stress, to promote sleep, for weather sensitivity, to improve well-being in cases of general malaise, to support gastrointestinal function in cases of bloating and flatulence, to improve well-being in cases of uncomplicated colds, and for general strengthening.Externally, it is used to support skin circulation in cases of muscle soreness and tension.

Active Ingredients

The active ingredients in 100 ml of Klosterfrau Melissengeist are distillates of lemon balm leaves, elecampane root, angelica root, ginger root, cloves, galangal root, black peppercorns, gentian root, nutmeg, bitter orange peel, cinnamon bark, cinnamon blossoms, and cardamom seeds.The other ingredients are 96% (v/v) ethanol and purified water.

Contraindications

Klosterfrau Melissengeist should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients, in cases of stomach or intestinal ulcers (internal use), in cases of allergy to cinnamon or Peruvian balsam, on damaged skin, or in cases of skin diseases (external use).The product should not be used by children and adolescents under 18 years of age, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, people with liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, or patients with organic brain disorders.

Dosage and Application

Adults should take 5-10 ml of Klosterfrau Melissengeist internally one to three times daily, but no more than 25 ml per day.The product should be diluted with at least twice the amount of liquid or taken on a piece of bread.For external use, Klosterfrau Melissengeist should be applied undiluted or diluted with water up to twice the amount to the affected area.The duration of use depends on the type, severity, and course of the symptoms.

Side Effects

When taken internally, stomach upset such as nausea and heartburn, as well as fatigue, may frequently occur.Dizziness may occasionally occur.In rare cases, a feeling of warmth has been reported.With external use, dry skin may occur after frequent application.If side effects occur, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings

Klosterfrau Melissengeist contains 79% alcohol by volume.When the dosage instructions are followed, up to 3.1 g of alcohol is ingested with each 5 ml dose and up to 6.2 g with each 10 ml dose.Caution is advised.The effects of other medications may be impaired or intensified.Driving and operating machinery may be affected.Additional alcohol consumption should be avoided during long-term use of Klosterfrau Melissengeist.

Storage

Keep Klosterfrau Melissengeist out of the reach of children.Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the label and carton.Shelf life after opening: 1 year.
