Dosage and application

The film-coated tablets are swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.For vitamin C deficiency, adults receive 200 to 1000 mg of ascorbic acid per day, which corresponds to 1 to 2 tablets.To prevent vitamin C deficiency, 1 tablet every second or third day is recommended.The duration of use is determined by the doctor based on the course of the disease and the blood values.

Composition

Each film-coated tablet contains 500 mg ascorbic acid as the active ingredient.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, talc, crospovidone, titanium dioxide, iron (III) oxide hydrate and vegetable stearic acid.

Contraindications

Vitamin C 500 must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to ascorbic acid or other ingredients, if you have kidney stones made from calcium oxalate or if you have certain iron storage diseases such as thalassemia, hemochromatosis and sideroblastic anemia.If you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, a tendency to kidney stone formation or dialysis, the medicine should only be taken after consulting a doctor.Children and adolescents under the age of 18 should generally not use the medicine.

Side effects

Storage
