Spalt headache is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).It is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headaches and fever.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredient and composition

The active ingredient in Spalt Headache is ibuprofen.Each soft capsule contains 200 mg ibuprofen.The other ingredients are macrogol 400/600, potassium hydroxide, solution of partially dehydrated sorbitol, gelatin, purified water, propylene glycol, polyvinyl acetate phthalate, quinoline yellow (E104), patent blue V (E131) and titanium dioxide (E171).

Dosage and application

Always take Spalt Headache exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor.The recommended dose is:

For children between 20 kg and 29 kg (6-9 years): 1 soft capsule (200 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum 3 soft capsules (600 mg ibuprofen) per day.

For children between 30 kg and 39 kg (10-11 years): 1 soft capsule (200 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum 4 soft capsules (800 mg ibuprofen) per day.

For adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (>40 kg): 1-2 soft capsules (200-400 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum 6 soft capsules (1200 mg ibuprofen) per day.

Wait at least 6 hours between doses if the maximum single dose has been taken.Take the capsules whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the capsules with meals.

In adults, if use is required for more than 3 days for fever or for more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.For children and young people, this applies after just 3 days.

Storage

Keep Spalt Headache out of the reach of children and not above +25° C. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton or container.Do not dispose of medicines via wastewater, but take them to the pharmacy for disposal.
