Myrrhinil-Intest coated tablets are a traditional herbal medicine for the supportive treatment of gastrointestinal disorders with non-specific diarrhea, accompanied by mild cramps and flatulence.This product is available without a prescription.

The tablets contain a combination of myrrh, coffee charcoal and chamomile.Myrrh has an antispasmodic, pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory effect and promotes wound healing.It also strengthens the intestinal barrier, which is important for a healthy intestine.Chamomile has anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, antispasmodic and flatulence-relieving effects.Coffee charcoal has an anti-inflammatory, astringent effect and can bind harmful substances that can then be excreted.

Myrrhinil-Intest is versatile and can help with various gastrointestinal disorders that are accompanied by diarrhea.These include non-specific gastrointestinal diseases with cramps and flatulence, non-specific diarrheal diseases, diarrhea-dominant irritable bowel syndrome, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis, food intolerances with diarrhea, fungal infections in the intestines and leaky gut.

Mode of action

The combination of myrrh, chamomile and coffee charcoal in Myrrhinil-Intest supports the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.Each active ingredient intervenes in different processes in the digestive tract.Together they have anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and antibacterial effects.The drug does not damage the natural intestinal flora, making it suitable for long-term use.

Myrrhinil-Intest is unique in its composition and is based on tradition, many years of therapeutic experience and current scientific studies from German universities and clinics.The three medicinal plants attack different points in the gastrointestinal tract and reinforce each other's effects.

Myrrhinil-Intest contains the following active ingredients: myrrh powder, coffee charcoal powder and chamomile flower dry extract.One coated tablet contains 100 mg of myrrh powder, 50 mg of coffee charcoal powder and 70 mg of dry extract of chamomile flowers.

The other ingredients are: yellow wax, calcium carbonate, carnauba wax, cellulose powder, iron oxides and hydroxides E 172, iron (III) oxide E 172, spray-dried glucose syrup, cocoa butter, macrogol 6000, povidone K-90, shellac (bleached, wax-free), highly dispersed silicon dioxide, stearic acid (Ph.Eur.) [pflanzlich], sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide E 171.

Contraindications

If you are hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, especially chamomile and other daisy plants, the product should not be used.Since there are no sufficient studies regarding the use of the product during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the product should not be used in these cases.Coffee charcoal may interfere with the absorption of other medications.

Dosage

The recommended dose is: Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take 4 coated tablets 3 times a day with sufficient liquid before meals.Myrrhinil-Intest should only be discontinued if formed stools are observed.If symptoms of illness persist for more than two days, with blood or an increase in temperature, or if side effects other than those mentioned in the package leaflet occur, you should consult a doctor.

Intake

Please take the tablets whole with enough liquid before meals.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking Myrrhinil-Intest when used in children under 12 years of age.There are no clinical studies with patients in this age group.Myrrhinil-Intest should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age.Talk to your doctor.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

This medicine contains glucose (dextrose) and sucrose (sucrose).Please only take Myrrhinil-Intest after consulting your doctor if you know that you have an intolerance to certain sugars.

Talk to your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if side effects occur.

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.You may no longer use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container (blister pack) and the folding box.The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.Storage conditions: Do not store above 30°C.

Pregnancy

Before taking/using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Myrrhinil-Intest should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to insufficient examinations.
