Paracetamol AbZ 500 mg is a pain reliever and antipyretic medicine that is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever.It acts as an analgesic and antipyretic.If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after three days, you should see a doctor.No prescription is required for this product.

How is Paracetamol AbZ 500 mg used?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.The dosage depends on the patient's body weight and age.As a rule, the single dose is 10 to 15 mg/kg body weight, with the maximum total daily dose not exceeding 60 mg/kg body weight.The dosing interval should be at least six hours.

Dosage recommendations:

Children aged 4 to 8 years with a body weight of 17 to 25 kg should take half a tablet (250 mg of paracetamol), a maximum of four times a day.Children aged 8 to 11 years with a body weight of 26 to 32 kg should also take half a tablet, but up to six times a day.Children aged 11 to 12 years with a body weight of 33 to 43 kg should take one whole tablet (500 mg paracetamol), a maximum of four times a day.Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults weighing over 43 kg can take one to two tablets, a maximum of four times a day.

Type of application:

Take the tablets whole with plenty of liquid.The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Duration of application:

Do not take Paracetamol AbZ for longer than three days without medical or dental advice.

Special patient groups:

In patients with liver dysfunction or renal insufficiency, the dose must be adjusted or the dosing interval extended.Elderly patients generally do not require any specific dose adjustment, however, in debilitated or immobilized patients, a dose reduction or extension of the dosing interval may be necessary.

The active ingredient is paracetamol.Each tablet contains 500 mg paracetamol.The other ingredients are povidone, croscarmellose sodium, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide and talc.

Contraindications:

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.If you have impaired liver or kidney function, alcohol abuse, Gilbert's syndrome, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hemolytic anemia, glutathione deficiency, lack of fluids or malnutrition, the medicine should only be taken after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.Children under 4 years of age or weighing less than 17 kg should not take the medicine.

Side effects:

Important notes:
