Instructions for use of Diclac Dolo 25 mg coated tablets

Diclac Dolo 25 mg coated tablets contain the active ingredient diclofenac potassium, which is one of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAR).This medicine is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Diclac Dolo 25 mg is used to relieve mild to moderate pain.If your symptoms do not improve after four days or worsen, you should consult a doctor.

Mode of action

Diclofenac potassium has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect.It blocks the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.

Dosage and application

Adults and adolescents aged 16 and over can initially take one coated tablet (25 mg diclofenac potassium) and, if necessary, another tablet every 4-6 hours.The maximum daily dose is three tablets (75 mg diclofenac potassium).The tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid, preferably not with or immediately after meals.You should not use the medicine for longer than four days without medical advice.

Contraindications

Diclac Dolo 25 mg must not be taken if you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients, if you have had asthma attacks or other allergic reactions to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAR in the past, if you have unexplained blood formation and blood clotting disorders, if you have existing or repeated gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, if you have cerebral hemorrhages or other active bleeding, in children and adolescents under 16years, with severe kidney or liver dysfunction, with heart disease and/or cerebral vascular disease, with problems with blood circulation and in the last three months of pregnancy.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Diclac Dolo 25 mg can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence and abdominal pain, loss of appetite, inflammation of the stomach lining, ulcers in the digestive tract, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, agitation, irritability, fatigue, skin hypersensitivity reactions such as itching, rash and hives, hair loss, increase in liver enzymes, inflammation of the liver and fluid retention.

Interactions

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.Diclac Dolo 25 mg can influence the effect of diuretics, antihypertensives, ACE-inhibitors, angiotensin-II-antagonists, ciclosporin, anticoagulants, platelet aggregation inhibitors, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, antidiabetics and methotrexate.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.Diclac Dolo 25 mg should not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy.It should be used for a short period of time during breastfeeding, as small amounts of the active ingredient pass into breast milk.

Driving and operating machines

The active substance diclofenac can occasionally cause central nervous side effects such as tiredness, drowsiness, dizziness or visual disturbances.Therefore, in individual cases the ability to drive a motor vehicle and/or operate machines may be restricted.This applies to an even greater extent when combined with alcohol.

Composition

The active ingredient is diclofenac potassium 25 mg per coated tablet.The other ingredients are tricalcium phosphate, carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A), microcrystalline cellulose, iron (III) oxide (E 172), macrogol (8000), magnesium stearate, corn starch, povidone (K 30), sucrose, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc and titanium dioxide (E 171).

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children and not above 30°C.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the container.Store the medicine in the original packaging to protect the contents from moisture.
