Loratadine 10 Heumann tablets contain the active ingredient loratadine, which belongs to the group of antihistamines.This medicine is used to symptomatically treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and burning or itching eyes.It can also be used to relieve symptoms of urticaria, such as itching, redness of the skin, and the number and size of hives.The effects of Loratadine 10 Heumann last a whole day and help you continue your normal daily activity and sleep.

Areas of application

Loratadine 10 Heumann is used to treat allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives of unknown cause).It belongs to the group of antihistamines and is used for allergic diseases associated with increased histamine release.

Dosage and application

Adults and children aged 6 years and over with a body weight of over 30 kg take one tablet once a day, regardless of meals.Children under 2 years of age should not take the medicine.Patients with severe liver damage should take the tablet every other day.The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.

Contraindications

Loratadine 10 Heumann must not be taken if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.In addition, it should not be taken by children under 2 years of age or children weighing 30 kg or less.

Side effects

The most common side effects include drowsiness, headache, increased appetite, and difficulty sleeping in adults and children over 12 years old.Children 2 to 12 years old may experience headaches, nervousness, and fatigue.Very rarely, severe hypersensitivity reactions, dizziness, convulsions, fast or irregular heartbeat, nausea, dry mouth, upset stomach, liver dysfunction, hair loss, rash and fatigue may occur.

Composition

Each tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine as the active ingredient as well as the excipients lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate and corn starch.
