Instructions for use of Loratadine 10 Heumann tablets

Loratadine 10 Heumann tablets contain the active ingredient loratadine, which belongs to the group of antihistamines.This medicine is used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever.Typical symptoms that can be relieved include sneezing, runny or itchy nose and burning or itching eyes.Additionally, the medication can also be used to treat urticaria (hives) to relieve symptoms such as itching, redness, and hives.

Important notes

Loratadine 10 Heumann tablets contain lactose.If you have an intolerance to certain sugars, you should only take this medicine after consulting your doctor.

Areas of application

Loratadine 10 Heumann is used to treat allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives of unknown cause).It helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, burning or itchy eyes, itching, redness of the skin, and hives.

Dosage and application

Adults and children aged 6 years and over weighing more than 30 kg should take one tablet once a day, regardless of meals.The tablet should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.This medicine is not suitable for children under 6 years of age or who weigh 30 kg or less.Patients with severe liver damage should take the tablet every other day.

If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember and continue taking it as usual.Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Loratadine 10 Heumann can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.The most common side effects include drowsiness, headache, increased appetite, and difficulty sleeping in adults and children over 12 years old.Children 2 to 12 years old may experience headaches, nervousness, and fatigue.Very rarely, severe hypersensitivity reactions, dizziness, convulsions, fast or irregular heartbeat, nausea, dry mouth, upset stomach, liver dysfunction, hair loss, rash and fatigue may occur.

Warnings and precautions

Loratadine 10 Heumann must not be taken if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have liver problems or are planning to have skin allergy tests.Do not take the medicine for at least 2 days before a skin allergy test because it may affect the test results.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.As a precautionary measure, taking Loratadine 10 Heumann should be avoided during pregnancy.Do not take Loratadine 10 Heumann if you are breast-feeding, as loratadine passes into breast milk.

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister pack.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.

Each tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine as the active ingredient as well as the excipients lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate and corn starch.
