1 Hard capsule contains 81 mg dry extract from curcuma rhizome (Curcuma longa L.), obtained with 96% ethanol as an extractant.Other ingredients are calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, magnesium palmitate, magnesium oleate, talc, gelatin, iron oxide hydrate (E 172), iron (III) oxide (E 172), iron(II,III) oxide (E 172), titanium dioxide (E 171) and sodium dodecyl sulfate.The product contains carbohydrates, corresponding to approx. 0.02 bread units (BE).

Mode of action

The ingredients in Curcu-Truw come from goldenseal, also called Curcuma longa.This plant grows to about a meter tall and has large, lily-like leaves and white or reddish flowers.It comes from Southeast Asia and contains main active ingredients such as curcumin and essential oil.Curcuma's mode of action is based on two main effects: on the one hand, it intercepts harmful radicals, and on the other hand, it stimulates the production and release of bile.This improves digestion, especially of high-fat foods.There is also evidence that turmeric reduces inflammation and inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take 1 hard capsule twice a day with main meals as standard.The hard capsules should be swallowed whole with liquid.It should be taken for as long as the symptoms persist, but not longer than a week without medical advice.If symptoms persist for a long time or recur regularly, you should consult a doctor.

Contraindications

Curcu-Truw must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients or if the bile ducts are blocked.If you have gallstones, the product should only be used after consulting a doctor.Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding as well as in children under 12 years of age.

If you have unclear or recurring symptoms that last longer than a week, you should consult a doctor.In the event of an overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, feeling of fullness, abdominal pain or heartburn may occur.If an overdose is suspected, a doctor should be contacted immediately.The product should be protected from moisture and not stored above 25°C.Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the package or if the capsules are broken, misshapen or discolored.
