Areas of application

Olynth 0.1% runny nose solution is used to reduce the swelling of the nasal mucosa in various forms of runny nose, including paroxysmal runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica) and allergic runny nose (rhinitis allergica).It also facilitates the drainage of secretions in cases of inflammation of the paranasal sinuses and otitis media (catarrh of the tubal middle ear) in connection with a cold.The product is suitable for school children and adults.

How to use Olynth 0.1% cold solution?

The recommended dose is 1 to 2 drops in each nostril up to 3 times daily.Do not exceed the recommended dosage and duration of use.The solution is intended for nasal use.Tilt your head back slightly and only release the rubber stopper after the pipette has been pulled out of your nose.Wipe the pipette after each use.

Duration of application

Do not use Olynth 0.1% cold solution for longer than 7 days without medical advice.Reapplication should only be carried out after a break of several days.If you have a chronic cold, it may only be used under medical supervision.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you think the effect is too strong or too weak.

What Olynth 0.1% cold solution contains

The active ingredient is xylometazoline hydrochloride.1 ml nasal drops, solution contains 1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride.The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride solution, sodium edetate (Ph. Eur.), sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dihydrate (Ph. Eur.), Sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing) (Ph. Eur.) and purified water.

Storage

Contraindications

Olynth 0.1% cold solution must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, in children under 6 years of age, in cases of drying out of the nasal mucosa with crust formation, and after brain surgery.In the case of cardiovascular diseases, pheochromocytoma, prostate enlargement, porphyria, metabolic diseases, angle-closure glaucoma, pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before use.

Side effects
