Hermes Biotin 5 mg is a vitamin preparation that is used to prevent and treat biotin deficiency.Biotin, also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H, is a water-soluble vitamin and part of the vitamin B complex.It is particularly needed for the functioning of metabolism, nerves, digestion and the cardiovascular system.

No prescription is required for this product.It contains lactose, so those with lactose intolerance should exercise caution.If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should consider the sugar content.

Areas of application

Hermes Biotin 5 mg is used to prevent and treat biotin deficiency.For prevention, less than 0.2 mg of biotin per day is sufficient.It is also used to treat biotin deficiency in the very rare biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency.

Dosage and application

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.The recommended dose is 1/2 to 1 tablet of Hermes Biotin 5 mg daily (equivalent to 2.5 mg to 5 mg biotin).For prophylaxis, less than 0.2 mg of biotin per day is sufficient.

For the treatment of multiple carboxylase deficiency, the recommended dose is 1 to 2 Hermes Biotin 5 mg tablets daily (equivalent to 5 mg to 10 mg biotin).For lower dosages, preparations with a lower biotin content are available.

Take the tablets whole with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of water (200 ml).The tablet can be divided into two equal doses.

The duration of use depends on the normalization of biotin levels in the blood and the course of the underlying disease.In the very rare case of biotin-dependent, multiple carboxylase deficiency, it is taken for life.

Composition

The active ingredient in Hermes Biotin 5 mg is biotin.Each tablet contains 5 mg of biotin.The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, cellulose powder, crospovidone (type A), colloidal silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate (vegetable).

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the package.Store the medicine in the original packaging to protect it from moisture.Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.

Contraindications
