What is Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets and what is it used for?

Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets are a combination of vitamin and mineral.They contain 1200 mg calcium and 800 IU vitamin D3.The effervescent tablets are used in cases of proven calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency and to support the treatment of osteoporosis.The active ingredients are calcium carbonate and colecalciferol (vitamin D3).

What should you consider before taking Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets?

Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets must not be taken if you are allergic to calcium carbonate, colecalciferol (vitamin D3), soy, peanuts or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.Also with increased calcium content in the blood (hypercalcemia), with increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalciuria), with calcium-containing kidney stones, with calcification of the kidney tissue (nephrocalcinosis), with impaired kidney function (renal insufficiency), with overactive parathyroid glands, with vitamin D overdose, with multiple bone marrow tumors (myeloma), with secondary tumors in the bone(bone metastases), when limbs are immobilized (immobilization osteoporosis) and in certain lung diseases (sarcoidosis, Boeck's disease) the preparation must not be used.

During long-term treatment, serum and urinary calcium levels should be monitored and renal function should be checked by measuring serum creatinine.This is particularly important in elderly patients and during simultaneous treatment with cardiac glycosides and diuretics.If necessary, depending on the values measured, your doctor may reduce the dosage or interrupt treatment.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.Interactions can occur when treated at the same time with certain medications.

Oxalic acid, phytic acid and phosphates can reduce calcium absorption.Patients should not take calcium-containing medicines for two hours after consuming foods high in oxalic or phytic acid.Dairy products have a high calcium content, which should be taken into account when taking Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to the high dosage of vitamin D.

How should Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets be taken?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.The recommended dose is: Adults take 1 effervescent tablet (corresponding to 1200 mg calcium and 800 IU vitamin D3) once daily.The effervescent tablet is dissolved in a glass of water and drunk immediately.You should take Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets in the morning.The duration of use is determined by the doctor.

If you have taken a larger amount of Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets than you should, it can lead to nausea, vomiting, abnormal feeling of thirst, increased fluid intake, increased urine flow, lack of fluids or constipation.If you suspect an overdose, please contact your doctor immediately.

If you forget to take Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets, take the preparation the next day as usual - under no circumstances double the amount.

If you stop taking Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets, please talk to your doctor first.

What side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include hypercalcemia (too high calcium level in the blood), hypercalciuria (too high calcium level in the urine), constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, pruritus (itchy skin), rash, urticaria (hives) and allergic reactions caused by partially hydrogenated soybean oil.

How should Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets be stored?

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the container and carton. Keep the container tightly closed to protect the contents from moisture.Do not store above 25°C.Do not throw away medicines via wastewater or household waste.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.

The active ingredients are calcium carbonate and colecalciferol (vitamin D3).1 effervescent tablet contains: 3000 mg calcium carbonate (corresponding to 1200 mg or 30 mmol calcium ions), 20 µg colecalciferol (vitamin D3) (corresponding to 800 IU vitamin D3).The other ingredients are: all-rac-alpha-tocopherol, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, corn starch, sucrose, gelatin, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, citric acid, malic acid, sodium cyclamate, maltodextrin, saccharin sodium and lemon flavor (contains, among other things, sorbitol).

Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets are round, non-domed, smooth, white effervescent tablets.Calcium-dura Vit D3 effervescent tablets is available in packs of 20, 50 and 120 effervescent tablets.
