Otriven 0.1% Nasal Drops Single Dose Pipettes are a remedy for use in rhinitis, runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica), allergic rhinitis (rhinitis allergica), sinusitis and tubal middle ear catarrh associated with the common cold. It contains the active ingredient xylometazoline, which causes the nasal mucosa to swell. The drops are intended for adults and schoolchildren aged 12 and over. The recommended dosage is 2-4 drops in each nostril, up to 3 times a day. The duration of use should not exceed 7 days. Possible side effects are irritation of the nose, sneezing, a feeling of a blocked nose, hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, headache, nausea and nosebleeds. The medicine must not be used in children under 6 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use it. It is recommended to check with a doctor or pharmacist before using other medicines. The medicinal product should be stored away from heat at temperatures below 30°C. The single-dose pipettes should be used within one month after opening and for a maximum of 6 months after opening the sachet. Further information can be found in the package leaflet.
