Information for use of the article Artelac EDO Eye drops: - Active substance: Hypromellose - Indications: The preparation is used for the symptomatic treatment of drying symptoms of the cornea and conjunctiva (dry eye) due to tear secretion and tear function disorders, as a result of local or systemic diseases and in cases of insufficient or incomplete eyelid closure. It can also be used for wetting and rewetting soft and hard contact lenses. - Warnings: The medicinal product contains phosphates and should therefore not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients. - Dosage and directions for use: As required, 1 drop should be dropped into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 3-5 times daily or more frequently. The duration of use is not limited in time, but a doctor should be consulted in case of long-term or continuous treatment. - Contraindications: The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients. - Side effects: So far, only side effects are known to occur in exceptional cases. If any adverse effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. - Composition: The medicinal product contains hypromellose as the active substance and other excipients. - Mode of action: Hypromellose is the active substance of the medicinal product and ensures adequate moisturisation of the cornea and conjunctiva. EDO - Important notes: When using different eye drops or ointments at the same time, a time interval should be observed between the applications.
