How Dolormin® works GS

The active ingredient naproxen in Dolormin® GS inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, which act as messenger substances to stimulate pain receptors.By inhibiting these substances, the pain is dampened.Naproxen is characterized by a long duration of action of up to 12 hours, so that Dolormin® GS enables a pain-free day or a more restful night after just one dose.

Area of application

Dolormin® GS with naproxen is used to treat mild to moderate pain in known osteoarthritis (joint wear).It has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effect.One tablet of Dolormin® GS with naproxen contains 250 mg of naproxen.Other ingredients include lactose, pre-gelatinized starch (corn), povidone, croscarmellose sodium and magnesium stearate.

The film-coated tablets should be taken whole with sufficient liquid and, if possible, before meals.If possible, no alcohol should be consumed while taking it.Dolormin® GS with naproxen is available without a prescription.

Contraindications

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can first take 1-2 tablets (250-500 mg naproxen), followed by 1 tablet (250 mg naproxen).The maximum total daily dose is up to 3 tablets (750 mg naproxen).If osteoarthritis is known, the initial dose may be 2 tablets (500 mg naproxen), followed by 1-2 tablets (250-500 mg naproxen).The dosage depends on the severity and daily fluctuations of the pain.

Patients with impaired liver or kidney function should not take more than 2 tablets per day, divided into 2 divided doses.The tablets should be taken whole with plenty of liquid and, if possible, before eating.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the tablets with meals.
