Description

Hepar Pasc is a herbal medicine made from the fruits of milk thistle (Silybum marianum).Milk thistle is known to prevent liver damage, promote liver regeneration and stimulate bile flow.

Area of application

This herbal medicine is used to support the treatment of chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver cirrhosis and toxic liver damage.It is not suitable for the treatment of acute poisoning.

Active ingredients and ingredients

One film-coated tablet contains 143.5 mg dry extract of milk thistle fruit, which corresponds to 83 mg silymarin.Acetone is used as an extractant.The excipients include cellulose, crospovidone, iron(II,III)oxide, iron oxide hydrate, Eudragit E 100, indigo carmine, lactose 1-water, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if there is a known hypersensitivity to milk thistle fruits, other composite plants or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over should take one tablet whole 3 to 4 times a day with sufficient liquid.The duration of use is in principle not limited, but should be done in consultation with the treating doctor.If symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted.

No prescription is required for this product.

Intake

The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking the drug as it does not replace the avoidance of liver-damaging causes such as alcohol.If you have jaundice, you should see a doctor.There are no sufficient studies on use in children under 12 years of age, so the medicine should not be used at this age.

No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The medicine must not be taken during pregnancy.It should not be used during breastfeeding due to insufficient research.

Notes
