Directions for use of Mepitel Silicone Mesh Dressing 5x7 cm Sterile: Mepitel is a transparent wound dressing with Safetac technology, specially designed for painful and sensitive wounds. It is suitable for burns, abrasions, lacerations and chronic wounds. Mepitel can be used together with Mextra Superabsorbent as a secondary dressing for highly exuding wounds. The advantages of Mepitel include its transparency, which makes it possible to observe the healing process without having to remove the dressing. In addition, Mepitel leaves no residue and retains its functional properties permanently. Safetac technology reduces trauma and pain during dressing changes and protects against maceration. Mepitel protects both the wound and the surrounding skin. It prevents the secondary dressing from adhering to the wound, thereby minimising trauma and pain. Clinical studies have shown that Mepitel is suitable for various types of wounds, including skin tears, abrasions, surgical wounds, second degree burns, blistering, lacerations and cuts, skin graft wounds, diabetic ulcers and venous and arterial ulcers.
