Information for use of the article PARA CAF 500 mg/65 mg Tablets: Para-Caf 500 mg/65 mg Tablets is an analgesic and antipyretic medicine. It contains the active substances paracetamol and caffeine. Paracetamol relieves pain and reduces fever, while caffeine supports the pain-relieving effect. Para-Caf is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, period pain and fever. The usual dosage is 1-2 tablets up to 3 times a day or as needed. The interval between doses should be at least 6 hours. The maximum daily dose of 6 tablets within 24 hours should not be exceeded. If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, a doctor should be consulted. Para-Caf is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. For older patients, the dosage is the same as for adults. Side effects such as gastrointestinal complaints, insomnia, nervousness and accelerated pulse may occur. In case of pregnancy and lactation, a doctor should be consulted before use, as various factors must be taken into account. Certain instructions should be followed, e.g. the prescribed duration of use of a maximum of 3 days and the maximum total dose. Habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage. Regular or heavy alcohol consumption may lead to life-threatening conditions if the medicinal product is used in addition.
