Summary: IbuHEXAL akut 400 mg film-coated tablets contain the active substance ibuprofen and are used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe pain, such as headache, toothache, period pain and fever. The recommended dosage varies depending on the patient's body weight and age. The tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid during or after a meal. The maximum daily dose should not be exceeded and the duration of use should not exceed three days for fever or four days for pain, unless medical advice is given. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, insomnia, skin rash and shortness of breath. The medicine should not be used if the patient is hypersensitive to the ingredients or has certain pre-existing conditions. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use.
