Ibuprofen axicur® 400 mg acute film-coated tablets

For use in adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and over (> 20 kg)

Active ingredient: ibuprofen

Read all of this leaflet carefully before you start taking this medicine as it contains important information.

1. What is ibuprofen axicur 400 mg acute film-coated tablets and what is it used for?

Ibuprofen axicur 400 mg akut Filmtabletten is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicine. It is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of:

• mild to moderately severe pain such as headache, toothache, period pain
• Fever

2 What should you know before taking Ibuprofen axicur 400 mg akut Film-Coated Tablets?

Ibuprofen axicur 400 mg akut Filmtabletten must not be taken:

• if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6
• if you have a history of bronchospasm, asthma attacks, swelling of the nasal mucous membranes, skin reactions or sudden swelling after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
• in unexplained blood formation disorders
• existing or history of recurrent gastric/duodenal ulcers (peptic ulcers) or bleeding (at least 2 distinct episodes of proven ulcers or bleeding)
• a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or rupture (perforation) associated with prior therapy with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory/anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
• in cases of cerebral haemorrhage (cerebrovascular haemorrhage) or other active bleeding
• in severe liver or kidney dysfunction
• in severe heart failure (cardiac insufficiency)
• in severe dehydration (caused e. g. B. due to vomiting, diarrhoea or insufficient fluid intake)
• in the last third of pregnancy
• of children under 20 kg (6 years), as this dose strength is usually not suitable due to the active substance content

Warnings and precautions

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Ibuprofen axicur 400 mg acute film-coated tablets. Special care should be taken with:

• an infection
• impaired kidney or liver function
• Dehydration
• allergy or chronic respiratory disease
• a history of gastrointestinal disease
• heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol
• Children and adolescents
