SanaCutan Basic Ointment is a corticoid-free ointment base for the treatment of skin diseases such as eczema, skin inflammations and psoriasis. It is particularly suitable for chronic skin diseases with dry skin. The ointment is applied thinly to the affected skin areas and rubbed in gently. The frequency of application in alternation with preparations containing corticosteroids is determined by the doctor. The duration of use depends on the progress of the treatment and can be 1-3 weeks. The ointment must not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or to mucous membranes and the eyes. There are no special restrictions on use during pregnancy, but the ointment should not be used in the breast area during breastfeeding to avoid endangering the baby. Before using the ointment, it is important to read the package leaflet and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. The ointment contains thick paraffin and white vaseline and is manufactured by Pädia GmbH.
