Description

The solution is a spray that works against fungi on the skin.It is used for various fungal infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts such as Candida species, molds and other pathogens such as Malassezia furfur.These infections can manifest themselves as athlete's foot, skin and skin fold mycoses, superficial candidiasis or pityriasis versicolor (bran fungus).No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The solution contains the active ingredient clotrimazole in a concentration of 10 mg per milliliter.Clotrimazole attacks the cell walls of fungal cells and inhibits their growth or kills them.The solution also contains the excipients isopropyl alcohol, macrogol 400 and propylene glycol.

Application

The solution is sprayed thinly onto the affected skin areas 2 to 3 times a day.Before the first use, the spray head should be activated several times until an even spray mist is created.The bottle should be held at a distance of 10 to 30 cm from the skin.With each application, the spray head is pressed 1 to 2 times and the solution is then rubbed in.

Dosage and duration of treatment

The duration of treatment depends on the extent and location of the disease.It is important to use it regularly and for a sufficiently long period of time.Pityriasis versicolor usually heals within 1 to 3 weeks.In the case of athlete's foot, treatment should be continued for about 2 weeks after the symptoms have subsided in order to prevent relapses.Overall, treatment should be continued for at least 4 weeks, even if the acute symptoms have subsided.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients.The solution should not be used on the breast area during breastfeeding.
