Directions for use of the article Nizoral Creme: Nizoral 2% cream contains the active ingredient ketoconazole and is used for the topical treatment of fungal diseases of the skin such as athlete's foot, fungal lichen and skin fungus. It is intended for adults. Before use, the affected skin area should be cleaned and dried. The cream is applied to the affected and adjacent skin area once a day, or twice a day if the infestation is severe. Application should be continued for at least one week after the symptoms have disappeared. Side effects may include skin irritation, itching, burning, inflammation, scaling and drying of the skin. The cream must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any of the other ingredients. During pregnancy and lactation, a doctor should be consulted before use. The medicinal product must be kept out of the reach of children and must not be used after the expiry date. Side effects should be reported to the doctor or pharmacist.
