Lifestyle or body changes can also affect digestion.Stress, hectic pace, changes in the normal daily routine and usual toilet times or an unusual diet - not least on vacation - often result in constipation.Hormonal changes, for example during periods, menopause or pregnancy, can also affect intestinal activity.Likewise, certain medications and some medical conditions can cause digestive irregularities.

Laxoberal® laxative tablets help with constipation and also with illnesses that require easier bowel emptying.They work where they are needed because the active ingredient sodium picosulfate passes through the stomach and parts of the intestine and is only activated in the large intestine by the colon bacteria.This gives it its laxative effect.This stimulates the colon muscles, which are important for the further transport of stool.Laxoberal® laxative tablets also ensure that more fluid remains in the intestines, which makes the stool softer.This makes bowel movements easier.

The ingredient sodium picosulfate, its active form BHPM and its breakdown products do not pass into breast milk.Laxoberal® laxative tablets can therefore also be taken while breastfeeding.However, pregnant women should not take the tablets as there are no clinical studies on their use during pregnancy.

Application

Laxoberal® laxative tablets provide reliable and well-tolerated support.If taken in the evening, they work overnight.After about 10 to 12 hours, i.e. the next morning, bowel movements begin.The dosage is usually 1 to 2 tablets for adults and ½ to 1 tablet for children aged 4 years and over.The tablets can be easily halved using the break groove.The Laxoberal® laxative tablets can also be easily carried in hand luggage when traveling.

Take the tablets in the evening with some liquid, for example a glass of water.Due to their small size, the tablets are easy to swallow.If you are unsure, start with the lowest dose and increase if necessary.After successful use, it may take two to three days until the intestines are filled again and the urge to defecate occurs again.Daily use of Laxoberal® is therefore not necessary.Laxoberal® laxative tablets can also be taken long-term if necessary.However, this should only be done in consultation with a doctor so that he or she can get to the bottom of the cause of the constipation.

Notes

Like other laxatives, Laxoberal® should not be taken daily or over a longer period of time without a medical examination of the cause of constipation.

Mode of action

Laxoberal® laxative tablets work in the colon, where they activate the colon muscles and promote intestinal transport.This causes the stool to become softer and makes bowel movements easier.The tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 4 and over and are easy to swallow due to their small size.The effect occurs after about 10 to 12 hours if the tablets are taken in the evening.

Dosage

The usual dosage is 1 to 2 tablets for adults and ½ to 1 tablet for children aged 4 years and over.The tablets can be easily halved using the score line.Take the tablets in the evening with some liquid, for example a glass of water.If you are unsure, start with the lowest dose and increase if necessary.

Intake

The tablets are best taken in the evening with enough liquid.The laxative effect usually occurs after 10 to 12 hours.

Patient information

Take special care when taking it if your symptoms have arisen spontaneously, are prolonged and/or are accompanied by symptoms such as blood in the stool or fever.In this case, you should seek advice and examination from your doctor before starting treatment, as defecation disorders or impairments can be a sign of a serious illness.

The medicine should not be taken continuously daily or over long periods of time without prior medical advice.

Children: The medicine should not be used in children under 4 years of age.In older children, the tablets should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Pregnancy
