ASS ratiopharm 300 mg is an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicine. It is used to treat mild to moderately severe pain such as headache, toothache and period pain, as well as fever. The medicine contains acetylsalicylic acid as the active substance. The recommended dosage varies according to age: children aged 7-9 years should take 1 tablet (300 mg) up to 3 times a day, children aged 9-12 years 1-1 1/2 tablets (300-450 mg) up to 3 times a day and adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults 2-3 tablets (600-900 mg) up to 3 times a day. The tablets should be taken with sufficient liquid and not on an empty stomach. The duration of use should not exceed 3-4 days unless recommended by a doctor. There are some contraindications where ASS ratiopharm 300 mg should not be used, e.g. hypersensitivity to ingredients, stomach and intestinal ulcers or increased bleeding tendency. Side effects may occur, such as gastrointestinal complaints, allergic reactions or micro-bleeding. The medicine should be stored away from heat and moisture.
