Directions for use of the article Corneregel Fluid EDO Eye drops: Corneregel Fluid EDO Eye Drops contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol and is used to promote healing of the cornea and as a synthetic tear fluid. It treats drying symptoms of the cornea and conjunctiva and supports the healing of skin and mucous membrane lesions of the eye. The medicinal product contains phosphates. Before use, you should note that Corneregel Fluid EDO should not be used if you are allergic to dexpanthenol or any of the other ingredients. If you wear soft or hard contact lenses, you should remove them before application and reinsert them about 15 minutes afterwards. There are no known specific interactions with other medicines. During pregnancy or breast-feeding, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using Corneregel Fluid EDO . It is not known how much dexpanthenol is absorbed into the blood after local application. The dosage of Corneregel Fluid EDO is usually 1 drop 3-5 times a day or more frequently, spread throughout the day and before bedtime. The medicine is placed in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. The duration of use is not limited and should be continued until the symptoms improve. Possible side effects of Corneregel Fluid EDO are irritation of the eyes such as redness, pain, increased lacrimation, itching, foreign body sensation and swelling. In very rare cases, patients with severe corneal damage may develop corneal opacities due to calcium deposits during treatment with phosphate-containing eye drops. Corneregel Fluid EDO is available in packs of 10, 30, 60 and 120 single-dose vials of 0.6 ml eye drops. The medicinal product should be protected from children and not stored above 25 °C. Opened single-dose ophthalmic vials must be discarded. Composition: - Active substance: dexpanthenol (50 mg/ml). - Excipients: Sodium edetate, hypromellose, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, water for injections. Corneregel Fluid EDO heals injured skin and mucous membranes. The active ingredient dexpanthenol is structurally related to pantothenic acid and compensates for the lack of pantothenic acid in damaged skin or mucous membranes. The following instructions apply to the use of Corneregel Fluid EDO: - If several eye drops or eye ointments are used at the same time, an interval between applications should be observed. - During treatment with phosphate-containing eye drops, cloudiness of the cornea due to calcium deposits may occur in rare cases. Corneregel Fluid EDO should be stored away from heat. After opening or preparation, the medicinal product should be used within one hour. Any leftovers must be discarded.
