Directions for use of Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops contain the active ingredient dexpanthenol and are used to promote healing of the cornea and as a synthetic tear fluid. They are used to treat dehydration of the cornea and conjunctiva and to support the healing of skin and mucous membrane lesions of the eye. Use of Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops is not recommended if there is an allergy to dexpanthenol or other ingredients of the medicine. Before using Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops, remove your contact lenses and do not put them back in until about 15 minutes after use. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or using other medicines. There are no known specific interactions with other medicines. Pregnant women, breast-feeding mothers and women who suspect they are pregnant or wish to become pregnant should ask their doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. There is no knowledge about how much dexpanthenol is absorbed into the blood after local application. The eye drops should be administered carefully into the conjunctival sac. The recommended dosage is one drop per eye 3-5 times daily or more frequently and before bedtime. It should always be used as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. Possible side effects of Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops are irritation of the eyes, such as redness, pain, increased lacrimation, itching, foreign body sensation and swelling. In rare cases, patients with severe corneal damage may experience clouding of the cornea due to calcium deposits. Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. Do not store an opened single-dose ophtiole. The medicinal product does not contain a preservative. The exact composition of Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops includes the active substance dexpanthenol and other ingredients such as sodium edetate, hypromellose, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate and water for injection. The effect of Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops is based on the active substance dexpanthenol, which heals injured skin and mucous membranes. Dexpanthenol is structurally related to pantothenic acid, a vitamin that is involved in important metabolic processes in the body. Please note that Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops should only be used after consulting a doctor or pharmacist if certain contraindications are present. Pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as persons with hypersensitivity to the ingredients should not use the medicinal product. Corneregel Fluid EDO eye drops should be stored away from heat. After opening or preparation, they should be used within one hour. The medicinal product is intended for single use.
