Information for use of the article Folic acid Hevert tablets: - Indications: Therapy of folic acid deficiencies that cannot be corrected by diet. - Warning: Contains lactose. - Dosage instructions, method and length of use: 1-3 tablets per day as required (corresponding to 5-15 mg folic acid). The tablets are taken unchewed at mealtimes with some liquid. The duration of treatment depends on the extent of the folic acid deficiency. - Information about shelf life and storage: The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date. Store away from light and moisture. - Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the ingredients, anaemia with enlarged red blood cells. - Side effects: Allergic reactions, Inflammatory skin redness, Itching, Bronchial spasm, Nausea, Circulatory failure due to an allergic reaction, Sleep disturbances, Agitation, Depression, Gastrointestinal disturbance. - Composition: 5 mg folic acid, cellulose powder, lactose-1-water, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, highly dispersed, talc. - Mode of action: Folic acid is involved in many metabolic processes, cell and red blood cell building. - Important information: Caution in case of intolerance to lactose.
