Terbinafine hydrochloride AL 10 mg/g cream is a medicine used to treat fungal infections and yeasts on the skin. It contains the active substance terbinafine hydrochloride and belongs to a group of medicinal products against fungal diseases. The medicine is used to treat certain yeasts and skin fungi, such as athlete's foot, skin lichen caused by shamrock fungus and fungal infections of the skin caused by yeasts. The cream should always be used exactly as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. The affected skin area should be cleaned and dried before application. The duration of application depends on the type of symptoms and is usually 1 week for athlete's foot and fungal infections of the skin with filamentous fungi, 1-2 weeks for fungal infections of the skin caused by yeast fungi and 2 weeks for skin spots caused by fungi of the genus Kleien. Possible side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, such as rash, itching, burning of the skin and redness of the skin. The medicinal product should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients and in children under 12 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. The cream should be protected from frost and moisture and used within 3 months after opening.
