Instructions for use for Adiclair film-coated tablets, 100 pcs
Area of application
The preparation is a polyene antibiotic that is effective against yeast fungi and is used for the topical therapy of proven nystatin-sensitive intestinal yeast mycoses.This is particularly relevant after or during therapy with cytostatics, corticosteroids or antibiotics.It is also used to eliminate or reduce the gastrointestinal yeast reservoir as a supplement to local therapy for existing oral or vaginal yeast infections.

The preparation contains 500,000 IE nystatin as the active ingredient.The excipients include carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt, cellulose powder, iron (III) hydroxide oxide x-water, hypromellose, lactose 1-water, magnesium stearate, povidone K25, propylene glycol, silicon dioxide, colloidal, stearic acid, talc, titanium dioxide and 0.05 BE carbohydrates.
Contraindications
The medicine should not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient nystatin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Dosage
Always take the product exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for the treatment of yeast mycoses is 2 film-coated tablets (1,000,000 IU nystatin) 3 times a day.If necessary, the daily dose can be increased up to 12 film-coated tablets.During therapy with medications that promote yeast growth, please take 1 film-coated tablet (500,000 IU nystatin) 3 times a day.To reduce or eliminate the presence of yeast in the gastrointestinal tract as a supplement to local therapy for existing oral or vaginal yeast infections, 1 - 2 film-coated tablets (500,000 - 1,000,000 IU nystatin) should be taken 3 times daily.
When treating yeast infections, all sources of infection must be completely eliminated to avoid relapses.In order to achieve lasting treatment success, you should take the preparation regularly for at least 2 weeks.To reduce or eliminate the presence of yeast in the gastrointestinal tract in the case of existing mucosal yeast infections (oral or vaginal candidiasis), 1 - 2 film-coated tablets should be taken 3 times daily.Treatment should be continued until the risk of disease has ceased.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
If you have used more than you should, please stop taking the product and contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Intake
The film-coated tablets should be taken after meals with sufficient liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
Patient information
Particular caution is required when taking it if the following applies: Due to the high osmolarity of nystatin, its use in very underweight and immature premature infants is not recommended.No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.
Pregnancy
Nystatin, the active ingredient of the preparation, is hardly absorbed in therapeutic doses after oral administration, through the intact skin or through the mucous membranes.Nystatin does not cross the placenta and is not expected to pass into breast milk.The medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Notes
If the affected areas cause unpleasant irritation or something changes there, stop taking the medication and consult your doctor immediately.When treating fungal infections, all fungal foci on the skin and mucous membranes must be eliminated in order to avoid relapses caused by untreated fungal foci.
